| It has
been reported that there was a Bear sighting in the UCROA neighborhood
recently. As a precaution, we'd like to remind everyone of the Virginia
Department of Wildlife Resources techniques to prevent wildlife
nuisances. If you are feeding ANY wildlife, STOP! Natural fear of humans
is a good thing and its protection for you and them. See below for
preventative measures everyone should be taking.
- Trash should NOT be set at the curb in bags
- Trash and Recycling must be places in a bin, affixed with a lid
- Trash and Recycling should be set at the curb NO EARLIER THAN
DUSK on the day prior to Trash Day
- Bird feeders are prohibited in common areas (if you have one in the
common area, please removed it immediately)
- It is also recommended to remove bird feeders on your private
property
- Do not leave pet food outside
